An office is never complete without a printer. In fact, a printer has 
become one of the basic necessities of an office. Not only in office concerns, but even at homes, printers are gaining importance. The Xerox Phaser 7760NM Laser Printer is a Workgroup printer. It incorporates laser technology and supports colour output. The printer has a width of 64.4 cm, a depth of 72.4 cm and a height of 49.3 cm that makes up its overall dimensions. It weighs 92 kg.
This Xerox laser printer has a speed of 45ppm for black and white and 35ppm for colour printing. It has a status LCD adding up to its appearance and its functioning too. It has a maximum resolution of 1200 dpi x 1200 dpi, both for black and white and colour printing. It supports duplex printing and standard post script.
The Xerox Phaser 7760NM Colour Laser Printer takes about 6 sec for first black and white print and about 9 sec for first colour print. The language simulations supported in the unit are PCL 5C, PostScript 3 and PDF, while 137 x PostScript 81 x PCL are the included fonts.

The total media capacity is 650 sheets and the maximum is about 3150 sheets.
It has a monthly duty cycle of 150000 pages. It is supported with print server and exhibits wired connectivity technology. The data link protocols include Ethernet, Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet. The connectors included are 1 x network – Ethernet 10Base-T/100Base-TX/1000Base-T – RJ-45 and 1 x Hi-Speed USB – 4 PIN USB Type B. With internal power supply, the voltage required is AC 230V at a frequency of 50/60 Hz. It consumes about 764 Watt when in operation and 135 Watt in the standby mode.
The software’s included are Drivers & Utilities, Xerox CentreWare and PhaserCal. The operating systems supported are SGI Irix, DEC OpenVMS, SCO Unix, SunSoft Solaris 2.4 or later, Red Hat Linux 5.2 or later, Microsoft Windows 2000, HP-UX 11.x, Novell NetWare 5.x, IBM AIX 4.2 or later, Apple Mac OS 9.x, Novell NetWare 6.x, Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Windows XP 64-bit Edition, Apple Mac OS X 10.2 or later and SunOS 4.x. While idle, the printer emits about 33dBA and 51dBA of sound while in operation.
